UNIT 7

A) Grammar—Past Continuous.

Pepet was reading a comic in his room. Núria, Pepet's sister, wasn't reading comics, because she was doing her homework. Manel, Pepet's Dad, was cooking dinner—a nice soup, some fish and an enormous salad for everyone. Pepet’s Mum and aunt were playing computer games. Laura, Pepet’s grandma, wasn’t reading or cooking or playing computer games—she was listening to heavy rock music in her room.

1. Who was cooking dinner?
2. What’s Pepet’s sister’s name?
3. Were Mum and aunt watching TV?
4. What was there for dinner?
5. What was Laura doing?

What were YOU doing yesterday evening at 8?

Us atreviu a memoritzar-ne una part?
D) Descriu breument què passava a casa teva ahir al vespre. Fes servir el text com a mostra. No cal que sigui veritat! My parents weren't watching TV because they both were doing karate in the garden--Mum was breaking sticks and Dad was jumping like a kangaroo.

Escriure molt no significa saber-ne molt.

-Tiens, Papa ! Elle est au fond du tiroir.
-Oui, elle est là. Elle dort. Tu es contente ?
-Mais non, Papa !
-Tu as cherché dans l’armoire ?
-Oui, et elle n’est pas là !
-Elle n’est pas là ? C’est pas possible !
-Pas sous ton lit. Et à côté de la table ? Non ?
-Papa, papa…Je ne trouve pas Gigi!
-Gigi ? Qui est-ce ?

POESIES PER A TOTHOM

A căzut o frunză-n calea ta
A căzut o frunză-n calea ta
Rătăcind pe-a vântului aripă.
Ai zărit-o şi-n aceeasi clipă
Ai strivit-o călcând peste ea.
N-avea grai să strige în urma ta,
Nici puteri să spună cât o doare
Şi-a rămas pierdută în cărare,
Ploi şi vânturi trecut-au peste ea.
Stătea lipită de pământ şi se întreba
Ce ar face dacă vântul ar lua-o
Şi-o clipă în palma ta ar aşeza-o
Dar a rămas acolo undeva.
A căzut o frunză-n calea ta

Halloween
Bats fly into the sky.
Flip flying into the clouded black eye.
Cats tip toeing across my toes.
Into the witches hands they go.
Ghosts say boo
haunting kids and scaring adults.
Vampires fangs suck blood
turns the victim into what it was.
Say goodbye to what you heard
Goodbye to cats, ghosts, bats, and witches.
Goodbye to you and good luck on halloween night.

Oh prima viola fresca e nuova
beato il primo che ti trova,
il tuo profumo gli dirà,
la primavera è giunta, è qua.
Gli altri signori non lo sanno
e ancora in inverno si crederanno,
magari persone di riguardo,
ma il loro calendario va in ritardo.
